The original Playbook Library was a big success with clients but was never updated and became a large pain point for users. A lack of search, confusing navigation, and in-comprehensive grouping made finding the right strategy hard for users.
After reviewing the product data and feedback, we were confident in our hypothesis that what users really needed was the ability to quickly access relevant information. We were able to determine that users were greatly confused by the current navigation and really struggled to find what they were looking for. We also discovered that users were accessing the site via their mobile device and therefore we were able to make the business case to focus on mobile responsiveness.
Design
During the design process, I would collaborate with the product owner, developers, operations team, and stakeholders to create a solution that would work for all. And as this tool was going through a full redesign, we were given an opportunity to ensure that the designs were fully accessible and responsive.
